Clothing must be unfolded and laid flat (see picture for example)
we no longer accept folded up items.
We accept items without an appointment Wednesday through Friday: 10AM - 3PM and Saturday's: 11AM-3PM. Please bring up to 30 items, that are free from stains or any kind of defect and new within 3-4 years. We will inspect your items on the spot, so please have 5-15 minutes to wait while we go through your items. When selecting items to bring in, just think to yourself if you would buy the item in it's current condition?
Everything goes through a second inspection. We work hard to do this second inspection when you’re here, however if Jamie (the owner) isn’t on site we will call you within a week to collect any no thank you’s.
Once we’ve accepted your items for consignment we will put your items in storage by season, and enter them into our system in order of drop off. We generally run 8 weeks out at all times, so items you bring in won't go out on the sales floor for at least 8 weeks (larger items, toys, jewelry, misc. items are the exception and they get put out right away).
We accept all seasons year-round, and please keep in mind that it's first come, first out. So don't wait to bring in your items for the "right season". As soon as you are ready to consign them, bring them in so you can get them "in line" for the accurate selling period.
We put out Spring/Summer items: January through June. We put out Fall/Winter items July through December. However, we always run about 2 months out, so for instance if you brought us Fall/Winter items in November they won't be put out until the following year during the July through December time frame. AND in the order received, so it's important to bring in your items as soon as you're ready to consign them!
Once we have tagged your item(s), we will hang, steam and put your items out for sale. Items are subject to special sales that we have throughout the year, and every month we reduce the price.
Items priced at $50.00 or above will automatically be returned to you if they do not sell in our clearance room. All items priced $50.00 or less will be your responsibility to pull off the sales floor if you want them back at the end of your consignment period or your items may be reduced to sell on clearance or donated for you after the 60 day consignment period.
If you want unsold items back that we priced under $50.00 what we suggest you do is look for our email that we send out when we enter your items into our system. This will give you your START date, so you'll want to mark your calendar with your END date (which is 60 days from the day we input it into our system). Items left past the 60 day mark become the property of Forget Me Not Consignments to donate or mark down and continue to sell.
You can choose to earn 40% and use it in-store as a credit, or pick up check/cash. You may also choose to earn 50%, however this has to be used as in-store credit only.
Please do not bring in items with stains, broken zippers,
missing buttons, holes, smells
or older than 3-4 years.
